Vil natten vare evig (2003) Vil natten vare evig was a one-night installation at Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder in Trondheim, Norway. A large room was bisected by two large squares marked on the floor; one contained diagrams for dancing with a partner, the other diagrams for dancing alone. The diagrams were made up only of uniform feet, with no numbering or arrows. The walls had ambiguous texts about love surrounded by notations from my notebooks entered around the same time as the texts had been written; references and source material could thus be seen for each of the vinyl wall texts. Four large leather chairs and twenty smaller chairs were lined at intervals along one wall of the room and spotlights behind those chairs lit the space, throwing light on dancers and viewers who read the wall text. |
